FLOOR SEALER APPLICATIONS
Floor sealer or floor finish is a chemical solution that is applied to protect surfaces from wear, stains, damage and in some cases for decorative purposes. Depending on the material and the intended use is the type of sealer to be applied.
PENETRATING SEALERS
React chemically with the substrate providing invisible protection without changing the appearance or enhancing colors. They are formulated different but with the same result for interior and exterior applications in Concrete, Pavers and Natural Stones.
ACRYLICS
Form a protective film on the surface and can be water or solvent base. They will darken surfaces and enhance colors, especially the solvent base. Is the most economical option most of the time but they tend to wear faster than other coatings and need regular maintenance and new applications.
EPOXIES
High build protective film usually two-part component that once mixed will react creating a hard coat that will be very resistant to traffic. Solid colors, metallic pigments and decorative flakes are added to the mix to create beautiful designs over floors and countertops. These coatings are more suitable for interior use since UV exposure will yellow the material over time.
POLYURETHANES AND POLYASPARTICS
They share most of the characteristics mention before with epoxies but with a highest level of resistance to scuffs and stains and they can be use in interior or exterior applications.
